On the Android app, automatic mode is meant to check you in and out even if the screen is off. Still open the app when you arrive so you can confirm it is active — that backup helps if monitoring was interrupted.
Choose this once on your phone and leave it. Each person uses a different profile so visits stay separate.
Where are you checking in?
Automatic check-in should work with the screen off on the Android install. Opening the app at the location is still recommended so you can see an active session. A missed auto trigger is a technical issue for staff review — not an automatic sanction.
